Every New Year we all make a number of resolutions to improve ourselves. These include the standard “lose weight, get a better job, to be a better mother,” the character of the change of resolutions. Even though it can be life changing, they are also often left incomplete. This year, why not be a little more pragmatic and make some new year’s resolutions to improve our homes?

Our homes are the places where we spend most of our time; in the end, making some big changes within the house can in fact lead to a changed lifestyle. So, without further adieu, here is a list of potential New Year’s 2011 home improvement resolutions for you to do:

Make Your Home Eco-friendly: it is not just to jump on the eco-friendly craze.’ Make your home more environmentally friendly not only helps the environment around us, but can also save a bundle of money. There are a number of ways, small and big, to retro-fit your home to be green. A small and simple change is to change all your regular incandescent light bulbs for longer lasting compact fluorescent bulbs or LED lights.
